I don't know for you but the deaths of both SYR and SR hit me really hard 😭! Book 2 is so dark and sad compared to Book 1.

To feel better I wrote a little new fanfic where these 2 are still around and healthy!

Little update about the novel, Chapter 27 should be out soon this week! And thank you all so much again for all you support and your kind words about the home chapter! Will try to post this one this week, but it's not for sure, life is a little hectic right now (new life, new job, new country is on going, crazy but so exciting at the same time), but we will try our best to share it with you soon!

Jin Dacheng is a very interesting character, he is so awful and at the same time so "human". And the way he always wants to be in competition with JYL in the drama and in the novel is so funny.

Ahahaha for JYL as a huge terrifying bear it's like that I was picturing him when he was grumpy after being rebuffed many times by CYZ 😅

And for CYZ being frustrated only by JYL, makes JYL someone really special, as CYZ is always gentle with everyone else except him, so even if CYZ is a little harsh with him sometimes JYL should feel happy about it, right ? 🤣

That’s so like JYL. he would bring the anesthetics in this way.😂😂 I won’t like Jin Dachang but at same time I couldn’t bring myself to hate him. His character was as annoying as in the novel. You describe them to their character.😀😀💕

I was smiling ear to ear while reading your new story. I’m about to confuse the real novel with this fics.😊😊😅

And finally on a funny note, working on chapter 24, I found something really hilarious while translating it. I think the author made a mistake (or if she didn't then the scene is more weirder than I thought ahaha) because at some point in this chapter she wrote “鱿鱼”, yóu yú in pinyin which means SQUID instead of “犹豫” which shared the same pinyin as the previous word (just with one accent different) yóu yù but which means “TO HESITATE”

And in the sentence where the author wrote this word as I supposed Jiang Yue Lou didn’t ask Chen Yu Zhi to stay there and stay safe with a SQUID in his hand, I went for “hesitating.” ^^

I will let you now picturing this squid scene with our 2 boys in your mind 😂

I think that the fics are amazingly written. You are talented enough to write your version of continuationas well as add to book two. I hope the scene where JYL drove past Zhao ming's sister is included 😂

Also, I don't know how the book 2 ends and I also don't know if you know this, but the screen writer wrote a script for the happy ending, which as better than the "it was just a bad dream" ending.

Maybe because the script was dead giveaway of the romance 🤔

Anyway, just a thought.

Just finished translated Chapter 23, and wow Yu Tang Chun is such a badass! This man has literally no fear!

So to put in the context, and again it's not really but at some point in the chapter Yu Tang Chun and Zhan Junbai's uncle met together and let's say it's not a really pleasant meeting as you can see below: (by advance sorry, this part has not been edited yet)

Zhan Tian Qing strode in, shot a glance at Yu Tang Chun and spoke with contempt “Why is there an actor here?”

Qiu Ming also went in at the same time, and immediately stepped forward to explain: “Commander Zhan, this is Boss Yu, the person the Director mentioned to you. He was injured saving the Director’s life and he is now recovering in the residence.”

Zhan Tian Qing paced around the living room, looking up and down the style of the house, and after hearing Qiu Ming's explanation, he just sneered: “That's because he's incompetent, relying on an opera singer to save him, he's only been out of the army for a few years, and he's now learning useless things.”

Yu Tang Chun's body was stretched straight. He didn't even hear those harsh words at that moment as his whole mind was focused on suppressing the hatred that was surging in him.

“Tell you master that a soldier should behave like one. And what an actor should learn from the generation raised by the Eight banners*? Except how to fall.”

The words were spoken to Qiu Ming, but Zhan Tian Qing, enraged, pointed at Yu Tang Chun, “Tell him to pack his things and to get the hell out of the Zhan residence!”

So the reason why Yu Tang Chun is such a savage and badass man here is because of his mention to Eight Banners:

The Eight Banners were the administrative and military divisions under the Qing dynasty in China. In war, the Eight Banners functioned as armies, and they remained in existence until the fall of the Qing in 1911, and even beyond, with a rump organization continuing to function until 1924 (Source Wikipedia).

So actually, Zhan Tian Qing is one of the remaining parts of the Warlords who followed the precepts of the Eight Banners but almost all of their armies disappeared with the fall of the Qing Dynasty leading to the beginning of the Republic of China Era.

So here in this chapter, as Zhan Tian Qing criticized the instant before his own nephew by saying he became incompetent while learning acting and leaving the army, Yu Tang Chun used the same rhetorical to insult him and remind him that the world where Zhan Tian Qing used to live (The Eight Banners era) already disappeared. And to do that Yu Tang Chun said that as the armies of the Eight Banners fall, there is nothing to learn from them except how to fail.

So basically, it’s a huge insult! Yu Tang Chun has no fear, I love him so much!!!!! He is the best!!!

Sorry for this little (very long) interlude, but I thought it was fun so I wanted to share it with you.😀

For secret CYZ mentioned. That’s a good idea for another chapter "how did I take the pill while I was unconscious, trap the culprit"🤣🤣 or something similar.

For the second story

Again you did great job. The second story was beautiful as well. I liked the mood. Like the first story, it was warm, cute and lovely. 💕 Honestly, while reading this, I was engrossed in the story that I thought it was chapter 22 of the book.😅 At the end of the note I noticed it wasn’t.😂 Like other readers, I am thinking the same things. You may want to try writing another chapter for this book or maybe another season for the drama. It’s a big step, but I think it’s possible.😀😀

Ahahaha that's it! You got it! I think you have your season 2!! You should start to write it and publish it!!!! I'm sure its gonna be awesome!!!!!! You have a complete plot already! 😃

I honestly thought about if I am somehow be able to write a decent fanfic as a second season. My first problem is that I don't know how the novel ends. The second is that I have not enough ideas and no experience in writing at all. I just stuck to the idea (follows the original ending of the tv show) that Chen Yu Zhi has an identical twin who lived a similar life to him. Also became a doctor (some time ago I heard about the idea that twins are one soul shared by two bodies so he indeed can be CYZ). I can see him enter Jingcheng 3 years after the ending of the tv show. He lives some weeks or months there without being recognized by anyone who knew CYZ (maybe a different part of the city). I can see Chen Ke Ying searching for a doctor to get a vocational training as a doctor. She stated in ep. 37 that she also wants to become one. And guess who she stumbles uppon. I also see Chen Ke Ying as the most important person in the life of JYL at this point because he literally has no one else left. No romantic but a pure family members relationship. She is the one who understands the pain and the loneliness of JYL the most because she lost the same important person and is living with JYL for years now.

JYL tries to live on as good as possible mainly because of the promise he made to CYZ about taking care of Ke Ying. Ke Ying for him is the only one he can hold on to if the days get too dark, when his longing for CYZ is nearly unbearable.

Ke Ying when meeting CYZ's twin the first time should be quite shocked. But after some time she will grow very fond of him because he gives nearly the same vibes as CYZ (some tiny differences are necessary though). Along the way she slowly reveals the sad story of JYL to the twin (I couldn't think of a proper name for him). A good start for the twin to think about JYL.

Because Ke Ying knows how unstable JYL is since losing his soulmate she at first doesn't reveal to JYL that CYZ has a twin.

That's nearly all I can think of. The couple who cared for JYL when he was shot can provide a place for JYL and Ke Ying where they sometimes seek shelter when they need more quiet time. A bit like parents for both of them.

I can imagine that eventually JYL meets the twin by accident and is also shocked, irritated, shaken up on a really high level. And it would be nice if the twin has a younger brother about the age of Ke Ying, maybe one or two years older.

Jin Da Cheng must also be a part of the story and Xiao Bai.

I wrote something which for me could serve as an entry showing the devastating state which JYL is in after the ending of the TV show.

余之 Yu Zhi ... too much days since you've left. I'm still counting. I'm still waiting for ... I don't know. I just lie and say I'm fine. But I'm not. Yu Zhi ... I miss you. 我真的很想你。

Both stories are really good. One gave a good laugh and the other one makes your heart beat so fast that you nearly get a heart attack. Thank you, it really expands the story and both fit the drama and the novel so well. Please, if you have time and ideas, write some more ... Oh you can also try to write a whole second season... How about that??? Just joking ... a bit ... not 😼
