Synopsis:
Killer and Healer
Original title: 恨君不似江樓月, Hen Jun Bu Si Jiang Lou Yue
The story takes place during a troubled autumn at Jingcheng in the Republic of China, where everything is about to change.
Jiang Yue Lou, Head of the Jingcheng Police Station, who is neither good nor evil, he makes smuggling criminals frightened at the thought of him. While investigating an opium case, Jiang Yue Lou met the doctor Chen Yu Zhi. One would rather kill when the other prefers to save. Two people with different values redeem and support each other and become true friends during this troubling period of time.
Translator's note:
I met Jiang Yue Lou and Chen Yu Zhi in the wonderful Chinese drama called “Killer and Healer”. I was moved by the beautiful story between these two polar-opposites who would meet and fall in love during a troubled time in the Republic of China.When the drama came to an end, I wasn’t ready to leave them yet and wanted to stay with them a little longer. That’s why I started reading the novel and decided to translate it at first just for myself, probably scared to share it as I don’t speak Chinese and also because English is not my mother tongue.
However, I met a wonderful editor who is helping me to translate this novel. Just like me and my editor, I am sure many fans of this novel series aren't ready to leave Jiang Yue Lou and Chen Yu Zhi just yet so this is for us. I want to thank my editor who encouraged me and proposed her help to translate this story and to share it to everyone. It’s thanks to her that we are here now.
This is our first time translating a novel, so we are still in the process of learning. If there are any mistakes please feel free to let us know.
This is the first part of the novel (Book 1). The second part should come out very soon and we will continue to translate it.
